I won a Producer Showcase in NYC
March 15th, NYCWhen it was all said and done, Spen Zilla (that’s me) from Toronto, Canada finished in first place! All the judges showed young Zilla love and the crowd was nodding like they weren’t going to hear any more Hip-Hop for the rest of their lives. Among the judges were legendary Hip-Hop producers Easy Mo Bee and Buckwild. Also on the panel were Prestige (up-and-coming producer), Bruce Waynne of production duo Midi Mafia (credits include 21 Questions by 50 Cent), and Amadeus (up-and-coming producer). Domingo (established Producer), Jerry Barrow (Editor of Scratch Magazine), Craig Mack, Posta Boy, RedCafe, SONY’s Urban A&R Team, and more were in the building as well.
Everyone at the Flowing of the Dao wishes Spen Zilla continued success. He’s a real talent, with a real ear for what sounds good. Be on the lookout for him.
