The man vs. machine motif goes back to the beginning of time. Humans have been telling tales of objects being possessed of deities since time immemorial. The earth itself is said to have a consciousness called Gaia. Is there evidence to suggest there is a global self-aware super organism?
The question I have now at this moment is simple and contemporaneous: Who did it first? Spielberg, King, or Cameron?
