Fuckin’ Peders … Soon No More
by Ben on Aug.21, 2007, under Abnormal Psychology
I asked Ken Churbuck the Invincible, an attorney and all-around generally knowledgeable young man from NH, whether or not he thought there was any correlation between criminal behavior (such as paedophilia) and abnormal and unhealthy physiological functioning.
He dismissed it off-hand without even a CONSIDERATION. As A@L likes to say, “*POOF*.” I raised the story (Doctors say pedophile lost urge after brain tumor removed, USA Today) of a chronic sex offender who, after having a brain tumor removed, lost the urge to abuse children. Mr. Churbuck acquiesced to the notion under the auspices of confusion. I can’t remember what story he brought up related to the brain tumor paedophile case, however the point is now moot.
Mr. Churbuck: It appears the evidence for a physical correlation is mounting.
This is an exciting time to be ALIVE. I have a hunch that ALL criminal behavior not instantiated by some higher economic injustice (90% of the people with 10% of the wealth have to resort to crime and criminal practices in order to enjoy a standard of living commensurate with what they feel they deserve [which is more than 10% of the fckin wealth]) has direct physiological correlations.
In other words criminal behavior is in direct coincidence, every time, with an unhealthy physiology which, if untreated, will result in the death of that individual.
I can’t put a cap on it now - but I believe this sickness reaches into the diets humans keep. I know I’m going to lose a bunch of heads here when I type this, but I believe the ingestion of dead animals and the killing of organism of high-orders of complexity (has eyes and a nervous system) leads to an unhealthy internal chemical environment which in turn has the potential to facilitate criminal behavior (be it child abuse, murder, intrigue, and so on.)
So maybe we’re stretching on intrigue, but I believe the more time goes on the more right I will be proven.
This study by German neurologists is a proud leap forward in directly connecting criminal behavior and unhealthy physiology.
I’m telling you right now … as time goes on I will be proven more and more correct.
More studies need to be done, and there is a long road ahead of us; but I believe we are finally narrowing the gap between neurological malfunction and deviant behavior. The research on this probably stretches back centuries.
I’m not proposing we start lobomotizing paedophiles (callous as it is for me to believe in the justice inherent in such policy) - I’m simply stating true criminals are physically unhealthy. Like a terminal illness inside them that will one day kill them, we need to approach the psychology from the root up; leaving no stone unturned - INCLUDING DIET.
Onward noble and healthy citizens, protectors and defenders of the little ones most innocent.
Worldpeace,
Benjamin
PS. This study is more a developmental problem. I believe interfacing with these human beings in various ways might effect a change that could kick start the production/generation and/or regeneration of nerve cells SCIENTISTS STOP I realize that nerve cell production in mature bodies is rare and that I’m in stormy water here if I “think” there is any hope for these idiots who have not grown their brains properly because of faulty genetics, or what have you. I’m clinging to this puny life-preserver of a study done by neurobiologists at Stanford and the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) in Vienna, which showed the potential for mature neuronal regeneration.
The plasticity of the brain might be its saving grace. Even if we can’t get paedophile brains to significantly ramify we might be able to reconnect what connections they do have in order to effect a substantive change that would coincide with the cessation of these criminal behaviors.
The fruit fly study is the only study I have, at the moment. I’ll be on arXiv.org sometime later tonight researching this further.
Criminality is a biological problem.
Paedophiles may have reduced concentrations of nerve cells in key areas of the brain compared to normal people, according to a study published by German researchers.
The study could have significant legal implications, experts say, because it hints at a direct link between brain development and criminal behaviour.
The causes of paedophilia are not understood and even diagnosis is controversial (see Sex offenders: Throwing away the key).
Boris Schiffer and colleagues of the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany studied 18 convicted paedophiles with a history of repeatedly abusing children younger than 14.
